Happy Canada Day!
Well, I have decided that this site is really useless right now. For one, I suck at HTML and PHP, so this site is broken pretty bad now that the PHP engine on this server is more restrictive. You will notice this by the fact that you can't access any page except this main news page. UPDATE: This site works fine on the new server, but I still am not currently updating any of the content due to other reasons. Perhaps sometime in the future, I will. As many of you may have noticed, ever since the server I was on (mdkxp.by-a.com) went down in December, I haven't been working too much on this site, and it contributed to my decision to give Debian a try. I can't rely on free hosting any longer, and as I have no income, I can't afford professional hosting. I think until a later date, I will just leave the site as it is. I may mirror it over on my home server so that you can at least browse the contents. On top of that, my wife's PC, which I would use to write my Mandrake-specific tutorials on, has decided to die on us. As neither of us have a job yet, I can't afford a new motherboard for her system. So, I have no Mandrake running in my house, and therefore won't be writing anything Mandrake-related. As if it wasn't bad enough that Matthew Hoare copied my last site design for his Desktop Mandrake website, now James Munn is stealing content. I don't mind if someone takes images or tutorials from my site, so long as they give credit where credit is due. I didn't steal any content from anyone else for this site, so it is only fair that I be treated the same. I credit anyone who had anything to contribute towards a tutorial. Neither Matthew nor James did that for me. On top of all of that, I have been writing for LinuxHardware.org lately, and I'm also admining LinuxGaming.net now. That takes up time, along with my wife, job search, and daily living leaves me with no time nor motivation to work on this site currently. Until further notice, this site will be frozen as-is. RIP, MDKXP. 27/Nov/2001 - 1/Jul/2003. (Hey, Walt Disney could do it, so can I.) I still welcome your emails, so if you want to send me questions or comments, do so at dolson@icculus.org 20/Apr/2003
I've updated the gaming section of this site. I separated the commercial and free games onto
their own pages, and I've added links to all existing game-related tutorials and articles
that had previously existed on this site. On top of this, I've added a local mirror of an article
that I wrote for LinuxHardware.org about the past,
present, and future of Linux gaming. Look for more updates soon!

Okay, so I added a new tutorial for installing Uplink: Hacker Elite. I hope someone finds it
useful, as the game doesn't come with any installer. Go find it on the shelf of your local
game retailler!
